In the Longwu River Valley of Tongren City, located in Qinghai Province's Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, four villages - Wutun, Nianduhu, Guomari, and Gashari - are celebrated as the birthplace of Regong Art.

Known for being the epicenter of Thangka painting, these villages are unique as nearly every home has its own painting studio, and every resident is an artist in their own right.

Qu Zhi, a native of Wutun Xiazhuang Village, was deeply influenced from a young age by the rich colors and mystical stories found in Buddhist art.

This episode takes us to the heart of Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to explore the enthralling story of Qu Zhi and his connection to the age-old tradition of Thangka painting.
